First Visit

Your first visit

We are a specialist dental practice and patients are usually referred to us by their general dentist. Your general dentist may refer you directly by email or they may prefer to use our referral form.

Scheduling an initial consultation

Once you have been referred, we will first need to see you for an initial consultation appointment. If your dentist has given you the referral form then please make contact by email or telephone to arrange your initial consultation appointment.

If your dentist has sent the referral form directly to us, then we will contact you to arrange your appointment.

What happens during the first visit

An initial consultation and assessment for periodontitis costs €95 and this fee includes any further standard intra-oral dental X-ray images required. At this appointment we will carry out a detailed history and examination this will enable us to make a diagnosis and from this an initial plan of what treatment is required.

The more information we have available about your problem the better we will be able to help you. If you have any recent X-rays please ask your dentist for copies either to be sent to us or for you to bring with you to your initial appointment.

We have facilities to digitally copy film X-rays and will give them back to your dentist as soon as possible. If your dentist uses a digital X-ray system, then please ask them to send the images to us.

Planning your treatment

This plan will include an estimation of the costs. We will also send your dentist a written report together with an x-ray images that we have taken. In some cases you may require further imaging, such as panoramic radiography or CT scanning, if so we will refer you to an imaging clinic that will charge you separately for these images.
